Huawei has officially announced the MatePad 11.5 (2026), an affordable tablet that brings a fresh perspective to the technology world with its nova 15 series. Unveiled at a launch event in China, this new generation tablet raises the bar in the mid-range segment, particularly with its battery capacity and screen technologies.

The device’s most striking feature is its 11.5-inch IPS LCD screen, offering a 2456×1600 pixel (2.5K) resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for a smooth visual experience. This screen, with a 3:2 aspect ratio, reaches a brightness level of 600 nits.
Huawei offers users two different screen options for this model; in addition to the standard version, a “Soft Light Edition” version that blocks 99% of glare and reduces reflection by 60% is also available.
On the hardware side, the tablet is powered by Kirin series processors. The standard model runs on the Kirin T82B chipset, while the Soft Light version is powered by the Kirin T82 processor. Supported by 8GB or 12GB RAM options, this hardware configuration doesn’t experience performance loss during extended use thanks to the device’s internal 3D heat dissipation system.
On the software side, the MatePad 11.5 (2026) comes with the latest version, HarmonyOS 5.1, and works integrated with Huawei’s AI Health Learning 2 system. Special work, child, and eye protection modes offered within this system support the tablet’s versatile use. Additionally, the device has a 13MP rear camera capable of 1080p video recording, while there’s an 8MP front camera optimized for video conferencing.
One of the tablet’s strongest claims is its battery life. Huawei has included a massive 10,100 mAh battery in this model, providing up to 14 hours of uninterrupted video playback. Thanks to 40W fast charging support, the charging time for this large battery is minimized.
In terms of audio experience, a quad-speaker system and dual microphone structure equipped with Huawei Histen 9.0 technology accompany users. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and the device works fully with accessories such as the third-generation M-Pencil and smart keyboard.
Available in blue, gray, silver, and purple, the MatePad 11.5 (2026) is offered for sale with a starting price of 1799 yuan (approximately $255). Depending on the hardware and screen specifications, the price can go up to 2599 yuan (approximately $369).
